Does it work with all access points?
Yes. Readings are taken by the walking-mode app on your phone or laptop, not from the access point controller. The brand of AP is irrelevant — we read what the device hears.
Which devices does the app run on?
Android (mobile) and Windows / macOS (laptop) are the v1 targets. iOS has restricted Wi-Fi-scan APIs at the operating-system level, so iOS captures the connected network only. Android and laptop are the realistic walking-mode platforms.
What hardware do I need?
Any current Android phone, or any laptop (Windows / Mac / Linux). No spectrum analyser, no specialist Sidekick-class kit, no bulky case in the boot.
How accurate are the readings?
Walking-mode RSSI captured at floor-plan-anchored points, 3–5 seconds per point, all detectable BSSIDs at each location. Accuracy matches the methodology used by professional tools at a fraction of the cost.
Where is my data stored?
Azure UK South. ICO-registered. DPIA-ready for institutional procurement. Sub-processor list public. You can export your data in standard formats and take it with you any time.
Can I white-label the report?
v1 supports customer-logo upload and a co-branded cover and footer. Full white-label is on the roadmap.
What is the difference between Survey Agent and Monitor Agent?
Survey Agent is a one-off walk: you hold a phone or laptop, walk the site, the Agent generates a branded PDF report. Best for IT consultancies and integrators delivering a survey to a client. Monitor Agent is continuous: a lightweight agent on the devices already in your building reports signal strength to a live dashboard with threshold alerts. Many teams use both.
